On a whim, mom and I, decided to take Millie to see Disney on Ice, Dare to Dream. On Saturday we bought tickets for the Sunday evening show. We learned a couple of lessons from this; 1. When you wait to buy tickets you do not get the best of seats. We sat one row from the way top, as Millie said. The other lesson learned was that when they say tickets are only $12, they really mean $20, there are fees and fees and more fees. Even with our expensive bad seats, we had a so much fun!
Millie decided that if she was going to see the princesses then she should be dressed appropriately. She picked out her Cinderella dress to wear. She wasn't the only little girl all dressed up. There were "princesses" everywhere.
Even though we were at the way top and you had to look through the lighting grid to see the show, Millie was mesmerized. She kept trying to imitate the skaters, and it was even hard to eat her snow cone. Her blue dress came home purple in places from where she missed her mouth and spilled the red shaved ice.
The show was entertaining, but my favorite moment of the night was when we first arrived at the stadium. Of course there are booths set up everywhere selling outrageously expensive "whirlygigs," and of course we had to get one. So we were standing in line waiting, and all of a sudden Millie starts clapping her hands and yells out, "Happy!!" It literally made my night. She was so excited that she could only say how she felt.
